I am looking to buy a color fishfinder for my V. I dont have a whole ton of money, but want a descent color sounder. Looking to see stripers on the lake and some fish offshore close in. Thanks in advance for your advice!

you fishing on Murray? we can't even get into the lake down here. We have to go thru the locks, and once you're there, nothin but cats. Some stripers have been caught on the river, but nothing of any good size, but the shad have started running. Good luck on the fishfinder. Did you post this question on cf.com?

charlestonfishing.com and bosts1 is right, it used to be a great site, lots of helpful people and good information, now its a lot of smart a's and flamers. Most of the people on there only post to critisize other peoples comments. Some of the topics that have gone on for pages over the most ridiculous subjects. too many self appointed experts. I stayed off that site for quite a while, only recently started back to gain information about kayak fishing, the kayak guys seem pretty nice and helpful
