Default Rub Rail

I went out today and when I was loading back on the trailer (I had a guy helping that had never wenched a boat, I didn't know that until afterward), and while loading it on the stbd rear rub rail got roughed up and the bottom lip (plastic/fiberglass) about a 3" piece of the part that the rub rail pushes on to broke.

Has anyone ever fixed one. Am I looking at part of the boat that broke is that a part of the rub rail?

How do I fix this. I did a search but didn't have a lot of luck finding anything.

You will have to pull the insert out and remove the broken track, and install a new peice, after thet just reinsert the the rub rail into the track.

All tracks are not the same!! You will have to get yours off and match it up to a new one. Not sure were you can get just a foot of it?

May be Skools has some, he removed a rub rail not that long ago?

The track is what appears to have broken, Does anyone know of a store that sells the track? (like West Marine/boaters world). I've wanted to repalce mine but I could just wet sand mine and it would spruce it up., I think the track is going to be the main thing.

Lumber yours looks nice.

Garagenc, I replaced mine last year and it wasnt that hard and the cost wasnt that bad either (about 325.00) all toll

I used a 5/8 blue braided dock line instead of the black insert that the rubrail came with.

My daughter and her friend helped me..

That looks nice lumberslinger178.I replaced just the white nylon rope that was falling apart with some black from West Marine, but it has pulled itself back about 6 inches after the years.I was thinking of pulling it out and re stretching it this spring.A rubber mallet worked great for getting the line in there.
Garagenc how bad is it that you need to replace it?.
