I use there filters for replacements on all of mine. There the same filter that WEST and BOATERS WORLD both sell around here. I haven't had any trouble with them. Don't use the NAPA equivelent though, they don't last around saltwater at all.

10 microns came to the foreground cause of the new gas cleaning your tank and sending crap to your motor.

If you know that your tank is clean you don't need it!!

I have a regular filter from wally world and a small glass inline filter after that so I can see whats getting past the filter, as soon as I start seeing anuthing in the glass I change al!

I also dump the gas from the filter after awhile to get rid of and see if it has water in it.
Put in glass jar and let sit so it will seprate. You will see the water if there is any!

A human hair is 50-70 microns. A spin on filter is not only for tank junk but water. A racor has a drain for water removal. You northern guys especially will condense water in your tanks if you don't keep your tanks full just from temperature changes. I don't rely on just a small inline filter. I once had a brand new 100 gallon tank installed and gassed up at my marina. Out of 100 gallons, I had 11 gallons of water. Fortunately, I only had to rebuild the carborator. A good spin on filter is well worth the money. Just my $.02

The boat couldn't leave the marina. The marina pumped all 100 gallons from the boat, let it settle and removed the water from the gas. They also paid for the carb rebuild. Had alot of boats that didn't leave the marina that day.

I use the gas filter Walmart carries, havent had any trouble. I cleaned both of my tanks last year, changed the filter early this spring and it was 1/ 4 full of rusty water. checked inside my carburetor and all was clean. They work well.
