BAD NEWS FOR SKOOL's

Well last night the neighbor hood here had an unexpected meeting with the Railroad Division of NC. It has come to our attention that they are going to move the main line closer to my house and shop to straighten out a curve in the line so that Amtrak can save 1 min that's it 1 min saved. They said that my shop would be lost and 5 neighbors house's. So to save a minute 5 family's and a business will loose their homes and a neighbor beside me will lost his 3 shops and 20 acres of his land. He has three 300 X 60 ft buildings he's losing. UGH NOW I HATE OUR RAILROAD!!! >:(

I hope to he11 they aren't trying to set the selling price for you....although, I have a feeling they are.

That really stinks up the room Skool. I hate that for you. I just can't imagine. Do ya'll have a fighting chance or is this a done deal?

They are going to set the price of everyones home in their opinion, no money spoken yet but you know i'm getting screwed on this deal. Kind of hard to put stuff outside that you keep dry from a 40' X 60' building. Guess that means the yard will have a ton of tarps.

Skools is it still in public hearing period and have you as a group of people retained a shark , I mean a lawyer, because I think you should , right of eminent domain cases require the public agency/governing body to show a need that can not be accomadated by other less disturbing means. With the right piece of crap, I mean attorney you can cause them problems and delays and boost the market price of your property seized. Good luck Buddy I hope it works out for you. If not move out and come live up here, the Garden State ::) Everything up here is perfect :-[

Skools. Sorry to hear that. This is completely wrong in my opinion. The fact that the government or any other corporation can come in and seize private homes goes against all that is supposed to be the American Dream. You work hard, struggle to save, buy that house you always wanted only to have some corporation come in and take it all away from you for a fraction of the actual value. Real estate is one of the biggest investments most of us will make, and should by all rights and historically be a a very safe investment. It's not just a house. It's your home g@ddammit!!!!! A home where you build a family. Not just a hotel to rest your head at the end of the day.
Man this pisses me off!!!!!!!!! >:( Fight it best you can buddy.

Hey guys, explain this!! I got a call from a Biloxi area code today on my cell and missed it. I returned the call and some guy answered. Come to find out the guy asked me if I knew a ......Skools........(real name here)...I said yeah and he said he was out on a barge and would get him to call me back. I hate I missed him, but he hasnt called me back.

What the hay is Skools doing down this way??? ??? ::) Must be makin a horsepower run. ;D
