Default May 1st Boycott

WASHINGTON (AFP) Immigrants' rights advocates, elated by the resounding success of Monday's "National Day of Action," which drew the backing of hundreds of thousands of protesters across the United States, now are planning a national boycott which they hope will have an even greater resonance.
Organizers are planning the May 1 "Great American Boycott," urging illegal immigrants -- who cannot vote and who have only limited political power -- to flex their economic muscle.
Protesters are being urged to refrain from shopping, and to stay away from school and work.

You should take a moment to let that sink in.

This is a movement orchestrated by people who entered the US illegally, and then want to scream about their "rights." WHAT RIGHTS? YOU DON'T EVEN BELONG HERE!

Let's take a look at some of the many benefits that illegal aliens have blessed our great country with: Street gangs, graffitti, drugs, skyrocketing healthcare, depreciation of property value, illiteracy. The list could go on. What they actually have to offer (cheap labor) pales to what they have given our country to deal with. I'll take expensive vegetables over expensive healthcare anyday!

And now, like terrorists, they are going to attack our economy -- the one entity that makes our nation stand out from all the others. The backbone of our nation. The country they came to like locusts so they could reap the benefits is now the focus of their boycott. You've seen it on TV: Marching on our American streets waving their Mexican flags, boldly showing that they can be more racist than who they accuse of, and yet the obvious is totally oblivious to them......

IF YOU'VE GOT IT SO BAD HERE, THEN LEAVE!!!

To all the real Americans, you can do one small thing on May 1st, 2006. It won't be racist, nor will it be violent. It will not be boastful, arrogant, selfish, nor distasteful. It will not be any of those things that our "guests" have already displayed. What it will do is nullify a movement.

All you have to do is buy something on May 1st. Make up for what they will try to take away. It doesn't have to be a new car or house (unless you were already planning on getting one). It simply needs to be a day of trading.

Hold off grocery buying until May 1st.
Take your wife out to eat that night.
Get the kids pizza, hamburgers, whatever!
Make several trips to the convenience store.
Buy your meals at work.
Fill up your tank.
Shop for clothes, furniture, outdoor equipment.
If it needs to be bought, BUY IT MAY 1st!

Those are just a few suggestions. We're not asking you to spend your inheritance that day, but just to spend more than you normally would. Even if it's only a few dollars, this will help soften the blow that the Mexicans will try to inflict on our economy that day. It sounds trivial at first, but if this idea gets around, what the Mexicans set out to do will fail.

NOW COMES THE HARD PART:
This email will not self-destuct if you don't send it to someone.
It will not cause bad luck, nor will it make you impotent.
It will not do some trick or show a cute little animation if you send it to "X" amount of people.
You will not get paid for doing it.

Ola! ::) ;D

At lunchtime today I'm going to run over to Home Depot and I've got a pretty good sized list of stuff to buy. My wife is doing a major grocery run today.

I must say that traffic this AM was very light -- due to the boycott? If that's the case, I hope they boycott every day!

well I don't want to hurt anyones feeling, But If there here legal, I have no problem!!

But 11 million that are not should be round up tattooed and sent packing!!

They come here, they get a job, and in a lot of cases they live with someone on the welfare system and they lie get medical, money, housing, and now they are changing the National Anthem !

Now we are offering them to work and give them the right to stay here if they follow the rules, What more do these greedy people want!

Hang Them all for treason!!

There I said it!

Shoot, at least a quarter of the legal citizens of the US don't do that!

Having lived in South Florida most of my life I'm way over being shocked at what's going on with legal and illegal immigrants. Miami is a cess pool of trash, bars on windows, gangs...the whole deal. This lastest assault Nationwide really Pisses me off too.
Made me wanna hire about 50'o'm at 50 bucks an hour last night just so I could FIRE them today. :P bastids !!

Well they had their march, do you feel at a loss, not me.
It is time the borders are set and enforced. We simply cannot exist as a country without honored borders and citizenship. We are a wealthy country but the simple fact is we cannot support millions without them paying their share into the system. The exponential growth of illegals has been so great that if dramatic steps are not taken in the next couple of years we face quite literally a collapse in our social systems. I will vote for the guy who will take strong action now and will actively campaign against anyone who hedges on this isuue along with a couple of other issues that are important to me. And it may be the first time in my life I will not listen to the naysayers that you waste your vote if you don't vote dem or republican. Both parties have brought our country into the 21st century without vision, a mission and honesty. If you votoed for Kerry you voted for a multi millionaire liar that is in the pockets of big corporations and labor unions along with the lawyers, who dishonored America and his brother soldiers in time of war. If you voted for Bush you voted for a multi millionaire liar who is in the pocket of big corporations and big oil.
WHAT THE F@CK KIND OF CHOICE IS THAT FOR THE CITIZENS OF THE GREATEST COUNTRY THAT EVER EXISTED ON THIS PLANET TO PICK FROM.
If the 700 guys on this site alone talked with and influenced the vote of everyone they know to vote for another party imagine the effect. If done across the country it will have a dramatic effect on the political landscape and politicians will start listening.
First order of buisness is to not vote for any national politician that has been in office for one term. Get rid of them, they have done no good and have demonstrated already that they are not good to their word and cannot be trusted. WHY IN GODS NAME WOULD YOU VOTE FOR THEM AGAIN.
OK I'm done until november
:(

Willy, when you find that guy who'll take strong action let me know and I'll vote for him, too.

But for the other, I've been a 3rd party member and supporter, in my modest way, for more years than I care to admit. No way a 3rd party cadidate will win the Presidency, much less a Senator or Representative in the House. The Republicrats have a death grip on the 2 party system and that's just not going to change. Now, term limits, that's what we need. Doubtful that they can be achieved, but they would take all the re-election pressure -- and the need for lobbyists -- out of the picture. But I know I'm preaching to the choir here.
