Default Any Geocachers here?

I have been doing it for about 3 years, it is a great family activity.

For those not familiar, people hide things, give you the GPS coordinates, and you go find it using the coordinates, and sometimes some hints.

Here is the website, it is free to join.

Registered about a year ago to take advantage of the arial views (Microsoft MapPoint) but they will quickly cut you off for overuse unless your a paid member.

It is a lot of fun, the kids and I went out and found 2 after school today.

Instead of watching TV, the kids got out and walked around outside a bit.

I am not smart enough to use any of the fancy stuff, I still print out the page and enter the coords into my GPS by hand.

Reading some of the locations (on barrier islands) and descriptions of locations is next to trying to find Blackbeards treasure locations.
Wish I had time to devote to that. I would be a real pain to others trying to find caches.

There are some very remote hides, but there are many that you can park your car beside. You may even be able to reach them from the drivers seat if you park well.
