Default Crazy Kids

This guy was riding down I-40 on Wednesday, no front doors on either side of the car.

I was taking another officer to pick up a car at the garage, he took this pic with his cell phone at 60 mph, I'm impressed.

We had a large discussion about it, all we could come up with was that he doesn't have a drivers side mirror.

The UPS man, guys with jeeps, and garbage men ride around like that all the time.

With the Jeep craze reemerging, most owners will remove the doors (just because they can), maybe this guy had Jeep envy.

My question would be, would the vehicle pass inspection without doors ???

We have a mandatory inspection form that we may issue to vehicle owners informing them that they have 10 days to get the vehicle inspected and defects fixed, headlights, muffler, window tint.

Most states, require a vehicle to be essentially as the manufacturer made it.
Jeeps ups etc. are vehicles that have been approved safety wise to run with no doors structurally wise, that is a significantly altered vehicle.

That is what I would say in my former ego, even though I still would not bother the guy unless he was acting up and came across my path for other reasons.

In my current cheezeburger in paradise guize I would smile and see if there were any chicks in the car 8)

thats funny, I remember when i was 17 going thru philly to see my wife at college I get pulled over , two cops in the car , I had a 67 vw bug with no bumpers one cop writes me a ticket for not haveing a front bumper and the other cop writes on for not having a rear bumper...lol instead of cop #1 putting an S on his ticket (bumper's) i could have avoided the second ticket....lol.

If i remember correct I had fog lights mounted on the roof of the bug that same evening I got a ticket for them also. plus a speeding ticket and running a red light ,

all in all it was a banner night for philiadelphia PD ;D ;D ;D
