Herring runs
MJ or CB Whats going on with the herring runs in your areas????? Things are quite slow here. I'll bet we have new regs put in for next year.
Got the bottom painted today and mounted the new finder, should splash Friday. Capt K

Runs are slow here also but there are pleanty to go around!!
But the reg's are so bad that I gave up on herrin now!! I go with live scup now, no hassle there!

A lot more closures of herring runs this year. Getting touger every year. They need to shut down the Russian factory ships and give the stocks a chance to rebound.

RP, I hate to tell you but I got time in grade on you. as we used to say in the Corps, "stand next to me son and get some sea time " "I'll bet I wore out more seabags than you have sox"
Salty old saying that I have not thought of in years. When my kids try to show me how to do things they go so fast I cant follow what is going on. They must think I am a blockhead. But thats OK, some times they dont actualy act like Rhodes scholars. Capt K

yeah, CaptK...I hear you on how fast they go...I can't keep up either...they get a kick outta me peckin' at the keyboard...their's is more a buzzz...
So you've been around a while...long enough to remember things you forgot long ago...can only hope I'm as lucky... ::)... Goin' to Lake Hartwell in the morning...hear there are some big stripers in skinny water...gonna free-line some bluebacks around the banks and points and see what happens...last week's tourney was won w/ 2 fish...35&38 lbers...normally it'd be hot enough to have run them deep by now, but it's been cool and shallows are still the deal...will post results ;D
