Default My ship didn't come in, BUT.....

My gas tank did.

40 gal. plastic tank from Flounder Pounder.

40 gallons will give me around a 160 statute mile range with a 10% reserve.

The first time I called about it, it was $160 plus $100 shipping, the second time I called, about a month later, shipping was $40.

I will install next week on the next trip to the coast.

I still wish your 45 would have fit SH......oh well.

For those who think I'm nuts for going from 60 gal to 40 gal, I'm actually going from 28 gal to 40 gal.

And if I find that I need more range, I will put the old 28 gal in the livewell/fishbox, then I'll have 68 gal.

Good going...the old V20's only had 40 gallons anyway and the good Lord knows they didn't have 4-strokes hanging on the back either! You'll be alot happier with the 40. If nothing else it'll mean less fill-ups.

I can carry 65 gal, but unless I know I am going way way out I just run on the one 25 gal tank, I have never run out and its in the middle of the boat so keep things level.
1975 had saddle bags, and when one goes empty the boat will list the other way.

40 will be all you need!

Yeah, I have a couple of secret fishin spots (from 10 years ago) that are about 43 nautical miles off, I want to run out there if I happen to be going on one of those real calm days that come along every once in a while.

Otherwise 17-23 nm is where I will fish the most.

I would like to get out to the Frying Pan Tower area again some time too.

40 gal should do all of that.
