Default TO CHUMBUCKET

I AM NEW TO THIS FORUM. I DON'T EVEN OWN A V20 YET. I AM, HOWEVER ,LOOKING AT A 1987 VC CC LIKE YOURS WITH A MERC 150. WAS WONDERINIG A COUPLE THINGS. IN YOUR TRANSOM STORAGE AREAS AS WELL AS TH FLOOR STORAGE IN FRONT OF THE SPLASHWELL, DO YOU HAVE DROP IN LINERS/BINS? THIS BOAT IS WIDE OPEN DOWN TO THE BILGE. IF SO WHERE CAN I FIND SOME?..
ALSO, IN THE FORWARDMOST FLOOR LOCKER IS THE FLOOR INSIDE THERE STRUCTURAL. THIS ONE , THE GLASS/EPOXY I COMING UP AND THE PLYWOOD IS WET. CAN I RIP THIS OUT W/O ANY PROBLEMS AND REPLACE IT, OR SHOULD I TRY TO DRY IT OUT FIRM IT UP AND REGLASS IT? THANKS

Welcome to the site. The two wells up on top of the transom on mine have drop-in plastic liners. I'm really not sure where to tell you to find them. I know that some marine suppliers like Boaters World, Cabelas, Bass Pro Shops, etc do sell plastic liners. I just don't know if they are the correct size or not. Later today, I can go out and measure mine for you. Right now, I need some sleep. Just got home from a 12 hour overnight shift. zzzzzzzzzzzz. The first hatch in front of the motor well is open to the bilge, and the one in front of that one is a molded fiberglass liner (solid. not drop-in). That piece of plywood that's fitted into the forward hatch is not structural in any way. Tear it out and replace. I would recommend saturating the new piece on both sides with some epoxy resin to seal it.
It's a nice center console. I don't regret buying mine in any way.

Thanks for your reply.
I think I will rip that forward floor out and replace it.
I will probably pick up the boat this week following a sea trial. I'm sure I will have more questions for you when I do get it home. Thanks again.

The drop-in liners in the transom wells on mine measure 8"wx13"lx9"d. I know that Tempress is one of the companies that sells liners. Just not sure if they make that size or not. Someone must.
