Default Fraternal Order of Norton Snaggers

Well I have an announcement to make, after 10 months of looking and being disappointed I will finally be officially joining the fraternal order within the next week or so. I got a call from Fillet 1 a couple of weeks ago and went down and sea trialed his v20. We made a deal and I should be picking it up soon. Have not seen it out of the water yet but don't expect any problems, he did a lot of work on the boat. Put my Robalo 1820 CC in the paper, if anyone knows someone in NJ who is looking for a mint CC let me know. And for all of you guys who have put up with my stupid questions all these months I want to say this, it's going to get worse now ::) Really though thanks and especially Capt. Norton who I have really pestered. I love ya man ;D

Thanks Franco, it looks like a good one, I love that full transom ;D it needs some things and needs some issues cleared up that Fillet did'nt have time to get to but overall its a fine boat, solid hull, strong solid floor and transom and a fairly recent 2001 installed motor with low hours.

Thanks Blue, remember back in June he posted that he hates to do it but he was selling, well I emailed him a couple of times but heard nothing until about three weeks ago and out of the blue he emailed me wondering if I was still interested. I don't think he is buying anything else now. But he goes out with two good friends with big boats all the time and the v20 basically sat all summer. So he decided to just fish off those bigger boats and not have the expence of maintaining and docking his. That is the general gist of it. Either way I liked the boat it is set up with the bracket like I wanted and a lot of the basic things Fillet has done. Needs some wiring and minor gel coat work but I could splash it next week and fish the striper runs and work on it over the winter

Sounds great Willy! I remember F1's boat being really nice. Did you get the top and side curtains too? Does it have the rear curtain?

That boat should get great fuel economy with that 115.

Yea Blue he bought an enclosure this year. It does not have the back just sides and front. The 115 gets real good gas he says, seldom has to fill her up. It pushes the boat up to approx 27 mph according to the gps unit but I could tell that the engine needs a decarb, he's never done it and he mostly drifts in the bay with it ideling when he does fish. And for some reason it does'nt seem to want to go above 5000-5100 rpm. He thinks it went to 5400 rpm when he first splashed the boat but is unsure. I think it needs a good tune up some cable adjustments(throttle) because the shifter is maxing over but it seems like it is'nt pulling throttle cable enough to me.

Cool deal, sounds like you're on top of things there willy. That's a nice lookin top on that boat, and as you know, most of us really dig that full transom.

Hey Willy, I've rewired a V20 before, call me if you need help or advice. Shouldn't have too much to do to that boat though
