Default HEY LORD SKOOLS FIBERGALSSING 101?

HEY IT IS RAINY AND AROUND 65 DEGREES HERE ON THE EASTERN SHORE OF MARYLAND TODAY, SHOULD THIS TYPE OF WEATHER PREVENT ME FROM DOING SOME FIBERGLASSING WORK TONIGHT ??? THE SPOT I AM WORKING ON IS IN THE CABIN SO IT WILL NOT GET WET, BUT WILL IT CURE OK WITH THE RAINY COOL WEATHER ???

WEAR LONG SLEEVES AND GLOVES - JUST A THOUGHT - PLUS PLENTY OF VENTILATION IF YOU DONT WANT A FIBERGLASS BUZZ, THE BUZZ AINT BAD BUT THE HANGOVER SUCKS BIG NORTONS!!!!

well three layers of glass on the whole thing, and 5 layers where the original crack was. made the replacement bow eye backing last weekend out of some 1/4" steel. made two pieces, there is a longer one under the main piece to spread the load. coated the steel in 3 coats of rustoleum and used 4200 on the bow where the achor cleat (that has been leaking for 21 years) caused the problem. and put some 4200 in the bow eye holes before i put the new one in.

well tell me what you think of this rookie's work ???

Great Job man, I'm going to have to do the metal replacement part of that job this winter, did you buy the kit or is it your fabrication? Also tell me how did you get the u bolt out, cut from inside and drive it out or the other way around
