Default Question for you's guys?

Why did you guys choose a cuddy or center console? I'm torn between the two styles right now in a major way. On one way hand the center console may be better for all out fishing, but I like to do some overnight trips and the cuddy would yield much better protection from the elements in this situation. Looking for input from you's guys on why you chose the way you did.

One thing pointed out by someone that had a CC is the cuddy actually had more floor space.

I like cuddys for the dry storage, It has a huge dance floor for every one to fish! And then dry ride is for everyone not just the driver.

I was on CB CC when he had it, it was a really dry ride for a CC I think the driest of any I have ever been on!

I think CC rides much better then Cuddy's

The CC gives you use of the hole boat and better anchoring, but I think it lacks the walk around space of a cuddy.

Cuddy is tight, good for one that wants to lay in there but tight!! But with enclosure you will have plenty of room!!

So I like cuddy for space, dry storage, dry ride, all around comfort.
-------------------------------------------------------------------

All that said I love the Dually! Best of both worlds, but a little shy on storage.

Just thought I throw a kink in your choice adding the Dully!

The dually don't really interest me. You don't have the full walkaround ability, nor do you have a full cabin.

I have one, but it needs a transom and floor. I was hoping to have a useable boat by the middle of JULY, and I'm getting tired of rebuilding boats. All of the ones I've looked at lately have had either bad transoms, or spongy ones. I went and looked at a center console THURSDAY(sorry HAMMER, forgot the camera at home), The floor in it was solid with the exception of the forward storage locker cover and the baitwell cover. There was some pretty good cracking in the corner of the front deck port side, but otherwise in nice shape. The 140 JOHNSON had 145-148 lbs of compression, but the linkage was grossly out of adjustment for the carbs(no big deal). But the transom in it was getting spongy. The boat was in the water so I couldn't do alot with checking the transom, but when I leaned on the engine to remove the cowling it bounced noticeably. As well as the engine mounting bracket pulling away from the transom on accel. The boat rode solid, and was nice with trim tabs. But I can't get past all of the boats I've looked at with soft transoms and floors. He was dead set on $5100 when I got there, but was down to $4500 before I left. I was maxed out at $3500, and reluctant to go that high with the transom.

Here's the link for the one I went and looked at.

i got the cuddy when our daughter was 1 year old, she just graduated high school last week ;D and we still have the cuddy. got used to the comfort and storage and dry ride in weather and still need it. i know a lot of people like the dually, but to me it is the worst of both worlds. not as "fishy" as a console and not as dry as a cuddy. the do have tons of storage and look like good family boats with older kids.

i like the cuddy. plenty (not really plenty) of storage space and when the boss needs the powder room just send her downstairs with a bucket.
the cuddy is plenty big enough (yeah plenty) for the two stooges to lay down or just goof around.
yeah the cc is the way to go for fishing but the cuddy is a better all around boat.

I would've thought the dually has the most deck space... Definitely short in the storage dept., but big on deck space.
