Default Caught some monsters

The weekend before last we caught some slab crappies off my dock. *I mean like about 5 two pounders and some others that were pretty good sized. *I didn't have the cam of course. *So this past weekend we tried again. *As soon as I pulled up I saw that the wind was coming outta the southwest and I know they don't bite when the water is being pushed that way *>:( *
Sure enough, they didn't bite....but these little guys did:

**NOTE: *Each picture is a separate fish.

Some friends stopped by while I was fishing and took me for a ride on the seadoo jet boat. *Got me soaked as I sat on the bow when a wave came over *:-/

View south west from my dock.

View North east from my dock:

Maybe next time on the slabs. * :-/

Thanks RB....maybe I'll see you around. I spend most of the time on the Abbotts creek side but do venture out under #8 bridge to the river side as well.

Cy, yes those would have been some good flathead catfish baits ;)

Is Abbots Cr. the one that eventually goes under 85 between Old 64 and #8?

Yep that's Abbotts. *My lake lot is off of Old Mountain Road which is near Central Davidson School.

Up the creek where it gets narrow there is a powerline with 4 of those huge orange balls. *Always was told it was so airplanes wouldn't hit the lines. * Anyway, we call it 4 balls and that's a popular place to cruise to, then turn around and come back.

I call my place 2 balls for reasons unspoken. ;D ;)

I'm editing this post so I don't look like I'm Hi-Jacking Blue's thread.... :( also I feel that I need to show you southern boys and gals ;D how to fish in the "Real" Winter time :D

For that I feel that I need to make a post with pics of my own..... are we ready? put yer jackets and gloves on and read the next thread.>>>>>
