they've made a huge comeback in the last few years. my kid is catching a couple dozen a night. it's his favorite fish to catch. he loves them. i'm not a big fan. we have like 20 pounds of fluke in the freezer. i can't see eating these.

Yes that is great news, hey Charlie,I only have one fillet of fluke maybe a pound so I will be swinging by your house, I will be the guy standing at your front door with 2 gallon freezer bags. Load them up for me. Thanks Charlie all I need is your address . Need ice too.
Lol. You should keep one ( that's the limit) one per person. They are very good eating.
I have been catching them jigging but am going to try gulp sand worms. What do you think?

Tell you what I think. A grey, overcast day. Even a little drizzly. They love grey, crappy weather. You can find them stacked up under bridge spans. They can’t resist live peanuts but recently deceased will do in a pinch. One ounce diamonds or a wide silver spoon will also do the trick. Bounced a foot or two off the bottom. Pink sluggos worked slowly under docks and piers. Holes in the middle of the channel. Big fat worms will also get their attention. Really, you can’t not catch weakfish right now.
Me? I’m gonna stay focused on fish that eat shrimp and baby lobster and spearing and such. Guys have been going insane about the cobia up here this season. These slobs are on a strict diet of bunker. They’re fishy and sh!tty. There’s too many delicious fish around here to eat that crap.
Catch ‘em up!

And you’re always welcome here. All you clowns. We picked up a vacuum sealer this year because I got tired of watching all that beautiful meat turn to frosty sh!t.
