Default Which way ?water impeller

I installed my water impeller on my Mercury outboard , I always keep the old parts I have two of the water impeller housings still with the impeller in them, one impeller the fins face one way and the other impeller the fins are facing the other way , I put in the new impeller and go get it in I spun the shaft to the right and seated the impeller. Is that right? Dies anyone have a picture of one in the housing? And if it's backwards what will happen? I used it both ways .

my son turned the shaft and I asked him if he turned it clock wise but he doesn't remember , but I think he did . It only makes sence to turn it clock wise. I hope he did .

The kids today are differant from when we were kids, that's for sure
I have a corner property( this happened yesterday) and my neighbors kid is running up and down my property, I have hills on mine but is very nicely cut with grass It looks pretty nice if I say so myself, so I asked the kid( and his father is in front of his house on his phone ) please don't run on my grass, you can fall and get hurt, he looks at me like I'm speaking a foreign language and says I do this every day. Hmm. Well I said don't do that anymore cause if you do I will tell your father, now to be honest if I was a kid and seen my property I would do what he was doing cause I wouldn't know any better But my parents ( like I would do too ) would yell at my kids. Don't go on his property and get off. But today the parents are clueless too. I caught these kids on my property multiple times and now I have to stop it. No respect for other people's property, friggin idiots. The future doesn't look good. But forget all that , But I think I did the water impeller correct. I hope so. Cause naturally when I asked my son to turn the shaft you would turn it to the right. I think if your left handed you would turn it to the left but he is right handed, but at one time it was installed wrong and still worked. I will keep a eye on the temperature.

clockwise. It doesn't really matter, teh blades will flip over, I've seen some with half the blades one way and half the other(only on large blade impellers). You're not scooping water, the water is pumped by the area differential from one side of the shaft to the other, that's why the shaft is offset in relationship to the housing
