I think my first realistic choice is a mako, somewhere around 23.
My first overall choice would be a 28 true world.
My second choice would be a 24 true world.
Maybe a dusky in the 22-25 range.

Yes the true world marine is a great boat but a 28 footer? Than you have to keep it in the water and that gets expensive , bottom paint, zincs I can't afford that
The wellcraft is a very seaworthy vessel and can be trailered with no problems and gets you on the water
Mako s another good boat but I like the Steplift more
Grady another great boat but I like the Steplift more
See where I'm going.

20 ft.... seacraft
23 ft... seacraft
23-25 ft Formula/contender/Sea Vee/while water/ Albermarle series(all basically the same hull)
26 ft Bertram, not legally trailerable, and a beast of a 26, but arguably the best sub 30 ft hull out there

For my current needs and wallet the ol' Pipe Dream fits the bill. However, if I were to come into a little $$ and more free time, I could move up to the 26' range and get into something like a Fortier or even a Wasque. I have always admired the Down East design.

On shear LOOKS

the V20s are just the tops of 20fters.
All three models... but the cuddy is just special.

The Seacraft 20 CC was very close 2nd place

Shamrock Pilot House had a look...

If I stuck to a new 20 footer it would be tough. Don't like the euro transoms and permanent moulded-in seating on anything. No room. Built for women.

I moved up in size to a Grady 265 Express. Motors on transom with a tailgate. Fishing machine. Of course, they don't make it anymore.

I don’t like the euro transoms either. Doesn’t look very nautical and, interested if anyone knows about this, looks like a following sea would be inclined to climb the transom and swamp the boat.
