I am going to replace my inline fuel filter on my 2 stroke Mercury outboard and the inline filters say for 4 stroke motors ,is there a difference?

The inline on the older 2 strokes had barb fittings that clamped in place with wire clamps or small zip ties. The four strokes have a different barb that clips into a special fitting.
I think Should be able to find plenty of the older ones. Just make sure the one u get has barbs, not the rings with the long nipples. As far as the filtering element, i don t think there is any difference. |
