going to jersey for a week, where do i fish?

Going camping at lake and shore campground, oceanview nj. Taking camper so I can only take my canoe or small aluminum boat. Just need a place for my 7 year old to catch some fish and crabs. Any public boat ramps or fishing piers close by? Or do I surf fish?

59th street pier in Sea Isle city for crabs & fluke & small bluefish maybe croaker. There is parking and access to the beach at Townsends Inlet bridge. Might find a big Black drum there, along with the others mentioned.

Not my stomping grounds, way south of me.
They pull some giant Sheepshead off rocks down that way, 15 pounders, using crab. Looks like there is access to rocks in Avalon.

There are some party boats. Check out Avalon Lady, they fish in the bay, good for little kids.

Those old sand pit lakes are full of pickerel...spinner bait gets 'em every time

water has bad alge closed for swimming they don't even want you to touch the water

Thanks. Hopefully he catches something. He is more excited to go fishing than the beach.

caught small kingfish off beach. My father inlaw showed up with his boat, caught sea robins and small founder around corsons inlet. Found a good bait shop down there just outside sea isle city. He had good info. My boy had a lot of fun.
