Default Break in the weather

last time i was out was dec 29th, well, the alternator went out on motor. dealer was closed until Jan 8th, so didn't get boat back until jan 11. then the cold blast began.

made it out today to test everything, also changed t-stat. Weather was mid 60's & lite wind.

thought i'd give ya'll a taste of spring.

It was 63 here yesterday afternoon, but stayed around 50 on the water.

Caught some nice bass, water was 48 to 52 in most of the lake, it is a power plant lake, so it stays warmer than the other lakes around.

nice one, our bay water temp is 51*, bout 5-10 degrees colder than the last couple of years.

gulf is warmer, especially deeper.


RMB, are u planning on a big pine trip this year, was wondering how the fish camp did during Irma.

I sold my RV last year so I don't have a BPKFL trip planned, but they got wiped off the map during the storm. I am in their FB group and they have gotten enough repairs completed that they have a few campers this winter, but I would think it will be another year or more before they are back to normal.

Luckily I know a guy who has a house in Sugarloaf Key that lets me use it, going in March.
