Man.......at 3,500 rpm the Etec 200 HO is probably burning 1 gallon every 24 hours.....
Maybe it burns a little more than that, but with full fuel, curtains up, all gear on board and such at 3,500 rpm it's like a quite little burble as that motor is just loafing...while the hulls up on plane and running in the mid 20's ..... Figure maybe I can run to Bermuda on one tank from NJ......... " Hey buddy, you new to this marina - yeh, first time here.....just motored in from New Jersey" |

Go for it. But be safe. LOL!
It has been too long. My V is too slow. Maybe It needs a new E-tec....

We're talking about the run from NJ to Bermuda in the V21.
Approx. 750 miles.......so approx. 325 gallons of fuel.... Equivalent to having 10 guys on board in fuel weight. Got to wait for the " Bermuda High " to settle in for calm conditions the closer you get to Bermuda. No smoking on board......call me overly cautious. |
