lots of rain here, lost power at the shop around 4, came home, stopped by the ABC store, trolling the internet with Evan Williams

About 3 inches of rain, lots of wind, slowing down, but still gusty, power still out since about 3 am, yard looks like hell, 3 different transformers have blown near me due to branches on the line, lines down in 4 different places around here that I've seen, couple of trees on houses.
Got the generator running the fridge, freezer, and a window a/c. Got three fingers of Flor de Cana Gold with a splash of Rose's lime.

We were without power from 10am till 2:45am.
Spent most of yesterday cutting a hickory nut tree out of Daddy's garage. A couple of weeks ago we removed a birch and pine he was worried about. Didn't think the hickory was a problem, didn't think about the wind from that direction. He recently changed insurance and is not sure if the work shop was covered or not. Oh well, we built it, we can fix it.
