|  Steering cable lenth 
			
			I think im going to replace my steering cable since im going to take it off of the helm, does anyone know the lenth i should get? Its a wellcraft cuddy. 20 foot ofcourse. I think i put a 17 foot cable in before and it seamed to long but im not sure, thanks for anyhelp you can give me.

			i9t should be written on the cable somewhere, usually in inches. Most often its located in the hardest to read place it could be, normally scraped half off

			Pull the old one and measure.  Also it's a whole lot better to be too long than short, ask how I know.  If you are even close to between sizes go up a foot.

			Telflex says there a number on the motor end on plastic, the last 2 numbers on model number is how many feet, it the number is worn off the say measure the plastic only!! then add 18 inches and round off to the nearest foot. Or measure center of helm to gunnle then to transom then tothe center of motor then add 6 inches

			The reason I would like to know what size you guys put on your wellcraft is because when I replaced mine the last time it seamed kind of long  so I'm thinking the shorter the better as long as it fits, less drag in the tube sleeve
