Default compression readings for a 96 evinrude 225

Hello
I have a 86 v20 c/c, and tomorrow I will be looking at a 96 Evinrude 225. I read some of the reviews here under the search. The engine I read is reliable and easy to maintain, but a gas guzzlers. What I'm looking for is what should the compression readings be? I read no more than 5% between each cylinder
I tried Google search with no luck. I do have a 1990 johnson outboard but I don't think that will help. Any tips are helpful and I do know about the recall on the upper bearing housing.
Thanks in advance
Jet.

100-120, the actual compression amount can vary by gaige and testing procedure used. Just make sure they are all within 5% primarily. If by some chance it has an older powerhead on it, the compression would only be 85-95 unless it was a 1st gen and they had about 130.

Compression should always be tested at full throttle

Maybe a high price but that's up to you. No way to know hours on those motors.

If you're not set on it, and not in a hurry, Evinrude DFI motors from 2002-2004 were cleaned up by Bombardier, but still sell for less than the etec's that started in 05.

Very good engines that use approx. 50% less fuel at all but full throttle.
