id like to be fishing here in ohio in a month but mother nature seems to be vetoing that one.... Erie is close to 100% covered in ice

I wish it was 8 weeks but more realistic it is 12 weeks.
except for a 2 winter flounder limit beginning in March, there ain't nothing to catch til mid May stripers arrive in numbers.
Water temp at Ambrose buoy is 36 degrees.
I'm just looking forward to some warm weather to get the boat ready

Stripers in Raritan on clam and trolled plugs usually by mid April......maybe later this year due to the cold water but we'll see !

weird how they show up to the west first. ( i guess your talking about ling or cobia) i have always heard they migrate up from south fl. to us seems like mobile, pcola, and destin get a visit before we do.
