After having to use a come along 2 weeks ago to get my truck and camper up a muddy hill and out of the woods I decided ....no more! After reading tons of reviews over the last year or so I knew what I needed. I went with the badlands 12K from Harbor freight. They are getting great reviews on the offroad forums and I love the 2k on my 4 wheeler. I went with the class 3 mount as well so I can use it front or rear. I have both on my truck. Other than the little Ill need it it will be protected and out of the weather.



More updates to come as I use it. As of now Ive only pulled some small trees out of the ground.

Now you have to be on the defensive every time you park in a parking lot. Igits are going to drive into the winch if it's mounted on the front or rear. They can't help it, it is in their genetics.
I've got a front mounted ball hitch on two of my vehicles that stick beyond the bumper less than a foot. They've been bashed numerous times and I've done lose count how many times the cargo carrier has been hit.

Make sure and get a GOOD lock for it. You don't want somebody else getting your new winch.

Thanks guys....I thought I are it clear but must not have. It staying INSIDE the back of my tahoe...on my drawer tool box covered up. It will only be mounted if I'm using it. Protected from the elements otherwise.

Like my 3500 Badlands so far. Its been on one ride and underwater alot already. Everything still works smooth. Already killed a warn, viper, and superatv winch. Got the warranty with mine and dont think I will need it.
