Default Hey all, new to this site

I picked up a 1978 v20 cuddy on craigslist FOR FREE. it was completely striped, up on blocks, no trailer, the only thing that came with it was a box of junk and the windshield, console and covers over the cuddy.(oh and a lot I mean a lot of bees yellow jackets and white faced wasps) It originally came from PA. went to NY. and landed in Mass since 2009. when I went to look at it, it was completely covered in primer and not much to look at. I liked the lines and over all look of the boat so I put on my trailer and took it home. in the last month I have installed new stringers, bulk heads and the side gusset's and ripped out the transom.(that someone replaced that thought they knew what they were doing NOT) while I was doing all that I noticed the wasted space fore and aft of the fuel tank. so I glassed in 1 1/2" foam between the stringers and bulkheads for two built in floor coolers with connecting drainage plumbing from the cuddy to the bilge area. I know I'm getting a little wordy on my first introduction to this site and I could go on and on but, i'm excited about this boat and I have a lot of interesting ideas for it while still keeping looking like it should. I know everyone likes pictures and I have a lot of them and will get them up soon.

Welcome to the Cult. Someone will show up at your house and show you the secret handshake and explain to you the Secrets and Mysteries in the next few days.

If he is wearing the Ceremonial Bison Mask, don't shoot!

Had a little incident like that with the last new guy.

okay you didn't scare me away and thanks for the welcome. Can't seem to get pictures from photo bucket to post correctly.don't really know what the trouble is but will figure it out. To answer your questions, I am from Uxbridge, Ma.,
lucky for me I am in the business of fiberglass boat repair & restoration (35 yrs.), so it makes it easier for me to tackle this project, As a "traveling man" I do know a secret handshake, maybe not the one your talking about but that is another story. I have a long way to go with this boat and will keep you updated. I had no idea so many people were into the old wellcrafts I'm glad I found this site.

Mike
