Cool 50 hp out board laking fuel

i have a 1984 50 hp mercury O B thats leaking fuel from the bottom carb. the gas is coming out the front but not thru the opening where the choke is but thru a hole in front of the unit they told me it is a stuck float so i tapped it gut no good it still comes out, the mech, says it has to be rebuilt im not so sure thats why im asking if thats right, please let me know what you think thanks

Yep, sounds like a stuck float, and if Spare says it needs to be rebuilt, you can bet your last penny on him being correct. He's one of those "experts" I told you about in your other post. He's got more outboard engine knowledge in his left pinky than I have in total. Listen to him.

cant argue with knowledge but should i have them rebuld the two of them or just the one thats bad

rebuild them both, replace all teh fuel line, rebuild teh fuel pump and install a new primer bulb
