Just south of the NJ Highlands......first fish 20", 21", and close to 23".....
Lots of throw backs too. Saw Step Up's clean V20 at the ramp just before sun rise so stopped to say hello to Tom. Calm and comfortable with the light W, NW wind in the am. Near perfect conditions. |

Didn't mention - found TUNA while running up the coast.
The smell was on the air, the birds were working, and the commotion was big - not bluefish, not porpoises........TUNA, and within 2-4 miles of shore. By the time I was rigged for a trolling assault attempt, it was over. Later that morning.......heard another guy on VHF asking if anyone connected with the near shore tuna. |

Saw your pics of tuna - congratulations, well done.
Who says these V's can't be used for BIG fish ? As Step-Up says........all you need is " V weather. " |
