That's a classic and rare 18' ..........some of those are going for $ 50, 000 or more !

Hey - know why it's called a " Force" outboard ?

Because you have to force em' to run !

I saw it and was expecting to see Mobile, AL for the location.

BGreene how much is an 82 18' Fisherman worth? The cap was cut in two, all the stringers are rotted, but it does have a new transom. As a mattter of fact the transom is the only wood in the boat that is not rotted. Oh and the fuel tank is full of holes.

No idea Jason - but based on the condition you provided, I'd start with NADA values for each - motor and boat, then subtract significantly for the work needed.
Questions are.......do you want to get involved in all that work, or pay to have it fixed ?
Cost for someone else to repair likely more that the boats worth. Also, is an 18' the right size boat for you ? Good luck......... I'd pass

Hell BGreene i bought it four months ago then discovered how bad it was. I was asking $50 for it and nobody wants it! After seeing your post i thought i could add a few zeroes to the price. Its still a classic right? Or as someone on here said, is it an old pos?

After looking at the pictures....the thing looks brand new, obviously well cared for and kept in a garage.

May be a little high, but what does a brand new 18'er cost these days?
