|  Johnson/Evinrude carbs 
			
			Just a heads up for all of ya'll that own late model Johnson/Evinrude outboards with plastic carbs. The company that makes the carburetors wen't bankrupt. These carb parts are no longer available from Bombardier, specifically the 115/175 bodies right now. The 90/150 shouldn't be too far behind. I don't know about the 200/225s. I keep running into engines that need the carbs rebuilt, the float bowls are still available, if yours are cracked or warped(most of them are) you can still get them for the time being. If the bodies are bad(they are getting that way), you may end in a bad way. I don't know of any aftermarket available right now, You can get aftermarket fuel/oil pumps, but not carbs. BTW, I'm looking for a set of new carb bodies for a 115 if any one has any

			spare so would my 1994 oceanrunner 175 fall under that? i am not having problems with carbs now but if that is the case might try to locate a set and put back for future use? what would cost be (est)if you could find a set?

			I'm not the Johnrude expert, but i believe the 150/175 are the same block, and the 200/225 are the same, so i don't think you can upgrade a 175 to a 200, but you can upgrade a 150 to a 175, and a 200 to a 225. Ferm or Skools will be along with the correct info if I'm mistaken

			If y'all recall I ran into this problem a while back with my 200 Johnson when I lost 3 of the 6 carbs to a fire that melted them.  On my 1991, plastic body carbs, the 175, 200 and 225 are all the same. The venturi and the jets change in size, and the butterfly is slightly larger and the screws that hold the butterfly onto the shaft go from 2 screws to 3 screws for the 225, but the mounting holes for all three are the same.  I don't know if this holds true for all the plastic carbs (depending on the model year)

 What he said(for the most part). It gets real tricky though with the 200/225's and then you throw in the rare V-6 250 and it gets head spinning. You also have to be careful not to get the 120/130/140's confused with the V-6 carbs as there are some of teh V-4 carbs that are an 1/8" smaller in the venturi than the V-6 carbs yet have the same base plates and bore above and below the venturi.
