Default mercury autoblend WANTED dead or alive

Soooo I'm looking for a used autoblend unit or two.... I know that some folks avoid em like the plague but I have a spare powerhead which pretty much guarantees that I'll never need it (Murphy's law) and I'm not incredibly excited at the idea of having to premix gas for an 80 (maybe 60) gallon tank.

Anyhow if anyone has one laying around collecting dust let me know.

mercury had a recall on those things years ago, had all engines under warranty to have them removed and disposed of. I've thrown several in the trash myself. I don't think I'd waste my time and risk the motor, just stick to premix. Its a shame some one hasn't made an aftermarket bronze crank gear for mecury V6's, it would fix 99 percent of their oil injection issues

To be clear, I'm talking about the external unit.

I hear ya buddy and I DO appreciate your viewpoint.... honestly I'd give the same advice to someone else but I have a spare powerhead and I just don't wanna pre mix....

It's possible that if I actually get my hands on one and tear it apart I might change my mind but I at least want to look into it.

good luck, personally I don't mind premixing, those auto blends don't vary the oil like a true oil injection, being able to vary the ratio is the only advantage to me in having oil injection. Saves a bunch of oil, nice if you are running the good stuff$$$, other wise the $10 mix jugs are as dependable as the operator
