Default Volvo Penta hyd cyl rebuild

My I/O hyd cylinders for my 290 Volvo Penta duo prop outdrive were leaking.

Volvo doesn't make a rebuild kit.

These cylinders are $800 used and $2000 new.

I got lucky I found a hydraulic repair shop about 45 minutes away in Portsmouth Va. Hydraulic Service is the company @ 1-757-487-2513 that rebuilt mine. Cost me $300 for both. I'm sure they had to charge me for the time they spent looking up O rings and wipers by size; someone else would just have to pay for time to rebuild theirs.

Hope someone else can use the info.

Here's the sizes to rebuild 1 cylinder:
MOR 35.5X2
MUU 16X24X4.5
MSWH 16X24X4.5
MKPD 35X27X3.2

With me just being able to get the one seal and without the other 3 being up to par, I guess I should have figured 1 seal wasn't going to hold all that pressure.

If I had been able to get you all the seals I'm sure you could have fixed the cylinders as good or (knowing you) better than they did.

I still need to get with you on the elctronic ignition.

I figured you were. I'd still rather have had you rebuild them.
