| It FLOATS!!...

Although she went down a while back, now she sits on top like a new bobber!!... Ran 'er up to the lake today...still idling a little rough, but we'll take care of that...ran her up a couple of times and each time, although it felt very strong, soon ran hot... ...pulled the T'stats...sand in one...idled around and ran at dock w/out t'stats for a while w/hoses to diverter rearranged to purge sand...put it all back and ran 'er out again, and again the horn went off...hot again... Stopped by Holdens Marine and talked w/Mike...his 1st question was; Where did you mount the motor?...I told him, On this one I put it on the back of the boat...He LOLed a bit and said; How HIGH?...we walked out and looked at it and he's convinced at speed it's not getting enough water to the intake cuz it's too high on the tranny...funny thing is, Spare had it lower and I, in all my brilliance wanted it higher, so I got what I asked for...I'll drop it down a notch in the morning and try again... The good news is, prior to over heating, it runs REEL good...STRONG outta the hole and up to about mid range is as far as it got...damn new tach ain't 100%, so gotta figure that out...we'll see how it goes tomorrow...

10-4 Lee. I'm ready to get back down to OI too. Rudy is a cinch to get out of but I just really like the OBX. Plus we got virtually skunked last year in VA. We'll do it.
