Default livewell conversion

Has anyone out there converted the aft fish box in the floor of a 1984 V20 Fisherman into a livewell?

I've never had one that had that livewell in the floor...but it's been discussed several times here and from those discussions, I've learned two things...one, it was originally intended to be used as a livewell and if not done at the factory, can be done by owner...

Two, it doesn't make a very good livewell(no matter who does the pump, hose, etc installation) because of its shape, depth and location...shaped like a shallow bowl which makes it lose water easily and difficult to access cuz it's in the floor...not considered one of Wellcraft's finest design moments...

Suggest you use it for storage (wet) and get an upright, aerated tank to keep live bait in...

My V20 has a livewell built in and like Reelapeelin said its useless. I cut two hoels in mine to clean out the drains under the fuel tank and keep it from filling with water
