Maintenance is a player, since it is sea water cooled. Salt and sand muck along with a lay up period of use had clogged up the water jackets, actually cemented them shut in the heads. Because of a few sharpie's on this site, which I have total respect for, you'll notice the heads aren't original. You can tell by the center bolt valve covers along with the newer manifold. Now, the original heads are tire chocks!
...so I treated my power plant to some fresh paint, along with a cherry on top. [new mercruiser 260 decal]
