Default How to remove steering assembly from console

I removed all the bolts, disconnected the steering cable conduit, turned the wheel all the way left... and still can't figure out how to properly disconnect it. Here are the pics. Anyone know what my next step is?

I believe you will need to take the steering wheel off.

Thanks, but the only problem with that recommendation is that that is my question. The steering wheel has no fasteners on the front side, so after removing the bolts from the back side, I was hoping it would come right off.

I'm sure I can get in there and manhandle it, but there's probably an easy way. I'm in no hurry, so I'll wait for someone to come along and tell me exactly what I need to do.

Default got the steering wheel off... next step?

I didn't see the allen screw holding the hub on the steering wheel. Removing it exposed the 3/4" nut, which has been removed.

Still haven't got this thing off the console. Should I just take out every nut bolt in the assembly? How about the tension clip in the previous pictures?

bolt teh steering assembly back to the console so it won't move. Loosen teh 3/4 nut on the center shaft till its flush with the end of the shaft. This is the part when you have a friend wihte video camera if you don't leave the nut on the shaft. Apply presure pulling hte wheel back, while some one smacks the center nut on the shaft with a punch and hammer, its should pop off. Thats why you leave the center nut on till the wheel pops loose, otehr wise you'll end up in the motor well
