Default Bird for Bluefish

Friday I had about 2-3 hour to kill so I ran out Masonboro Inlet to troll for Spanish. I normally just pull a Clark Spoon on a 2oz weight and one on a planner board with pretty good success. For something new I put out a bird with a spoon (in a flat line clip) about 15-20 yards back in my wash. The Spanish didn't pay much attention, but the Blues loved it! The combination of a bird and feisty Blues made for some real excitement, especially when waiting for boring planners to pop up. I didn't get any pictures, just thought someone might want to try it when things get slow.

Cool! Grilled or fried?

The man said he'd have my motor work done today. Hope to pick it up after work and if I have enough time I'll hit HRL for a test spin.....wish me luck!

P.S. Can you please talk your sister out of these crazy thoughts she's having? I think you know what I'm talking about.

Dbl filet, roll in House Autry and fry....I recommend a side of cole slaw and a 12 pack of Busch Light.

I told her to listen to you bro.

Family started many moons ago, thankfully! I wouldn't trade those earlier years for anything but wouldn't necessarily want to start over either LOL.

Nah, let's just say she's trying to deviate from our agreed plans. I probably should have PM'd that sister statement. I didn't really expect anybody to bite on it but REH.

....and thanks for telling her that by the way.

OK, now I got it. REH's sister is your wife. Sorry 'bout that. If I remember her correctly from a pic at a bbq a while back, you may have trouble resisting her charms!
