What do you think about this motor does anyone know of any issues with this motor, not sure of the year I am waiting to here back from seller.

If all checks out its a good deal! Looks like a mid to late 90's,
I had a 175 Black Max 2.4 on my 23 Sea Ox, I curz at 25 to 27, top out at 32mph. Curz at 25 mph and 2 1/2 to 3 miles a gallon. Good Luck!

That's a mid 80's 2.0L MERC. It still has the clamshell style cowlings that are getting pretty brittle from age, and replacements are almost gone. The price is on the high side in my opinion for the age of it, and considering that from that area she's probably been in the salt her whole life.

Yep, mid 80's coffin cowl... I agree with the Fermanator. I have an 89' 200hp that is still mounted on my Cruisers, Inc. 22 footer. Truthfully I love the engine. Only gave me one problem ever, and that was a bad temp sensor. But like Ferm just said, given the location, that engine's probably been in salt it's whole life. So I question the price and why is he selling it? It "could" be a good buy, or it "could" be a waste of money. It's certainly worth checking into though.
