I am thinking of buying this COX Tandem Galvanized trailer for my V21. It's an older bunk model and looks to be in good shape. The only issue is that the wheels seem to be located at the center of the trailer. Is this ok for loading and offloading? I notice that most newer trailers have the wheels nearer to the rear of the trailer. Any input/advice would be appreciated. Here's the link to the post on Craigslist:

That is kind of odd looking where they are placed. On most trailers, the axles can be moved, and this may be the case with this one.

Truthfully, I've never been a fan of Cox trailers... I just don't like the way they make the front post. That being said, most trailers have an adjustment so you can move the entire wheel/axel assembly front or rear several feet. That way you can adjust for tongue weight. Look at the trailer carefully, in person, and see if there are multiple mounting holes in the frame near where the tires are presently mounted. Red skys at night...

Thanks for letting me know, I will go to look at it and make my decision based upon inspection. The price seems pretty good though.

There's something been altered about that trailer...the front/rear wheels are farther apart than any other tandem axle trailer I've ever seen...but Destroyer hit on my biggest concern...if you can't achieve enough tongue weight by adjusting the axles, you'll never be able to use it...tail-heavy trailers of any kind will fishtail on you and can cause wrecks...don't buy it just because it's a good price or you'll still be paying for it long after the purchase...it also appears he's downsized the wheels...looks like he went from 14s down to 13" wheels to save $$...plus those aren't galvanized wheels and the 1st time you put 'em in saltwater, they'll start rusting on you, rinse them off or not

YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST! You are an absolute wealth of knowledge. I have moved on and am currently looking at a few different trailers. I get a weird vibe from this trailer. I need a tandem with brakes to get it where I need it, but I might just pick up an inexpensive single axle for a few hundred bucks just to get it out of the water to clean and paint it.
