Default opinions on a 21' sea ox

What do you guys know about sea ox boats? Specifically a 21' model. I know i've seen a few on here but not sure of sizes. . Thoughts? Thanks.

I've always heard they were a good, solid, heavy boat. I've only been on one, and it seemed fine to me.

Our darling administrator has a 23 Ox and loves it...with good reason...like destroyer said, well built boat, possibly the sturdiest hull in its class...unless the particular hull your looking at has suffered some boat trauma, it oughtta be GREAT!!...

I have the 23 and like said it is a solid hull!!

I am not sure about the 21, but the 23's have to have trim tabs, it really makes the boat perform in seas!

Also on the 23's I hear that they have a issue with the floor getting soft in the rear? Mine has one spot a little soft but it is going to be years before I am ever going to have to do anything about it.

They are a heavy boat that adds to there stable performance and have a 20* dead rise like the V20.

Just make sure when you are looking at them you ck well, they are a wood core boat, there is a lot of wood from the bottom of the hull to the floor, transom, stringers.

Hope that helps, let me know if you have any questions.

Very big help! I am going to look monday morning at one that comes with a 200 johnson, another running 200 johnson for my boat, and a 150 parts motor. Guy said the motor on the ox needs a power pack. He's offering it all to me for $2500 bucks... Motors are mid 80's models, one johnson, one evinrude. Seems like a pretty good deal to me. Also on an ez loader trailer... What do you guys think about the price? Thanks for the info! Craigan.

If all works out , I would say its a fair price. I paided $2700 for mine, with a bad motor and good trailer.
I have added the hard top, trim tabs, and the 4 stroke.
With all that I have added including radar, gps, fish finder, rewire, and so on I am about 90% done and $17,000 in. This includes the buying of the boat.

Price seems good.. actually, if everything is as stated price seems very good.
I have a 200 Johnson on my V and it's a good motor. Runs sweet.. and having a backup motor is never a bad idea. Besides... nothin attracts the wimmin like a big johnson.
