Default ocean pros and ocean runners?

Any thoughts? Pros or cons? Looking at a couple in the 175 and 200 categories

I'm on the exact opposite end of this comparison myself. Most of us can't afford a new engine, so the older carbed engines will need some repairs from time to time. And the parts cost of YAMAHA parts VS JOHNNY-RUDE stuff is a BIG difference. Plus from my experience I have found the JOHNNY-RUDES to be easier to work on. This is just an opinion of mine, and I'm biased towards the US made engines as well.

OMC/Johnson/Evinrude made a good engine all the way up to the "Ficht" debacle. The issues with the first generation "Ficht" motors damaged the brand name beyond repair. The bigger 2 strokes like the 150, 175, and 200 are and were great motors. They are easy to work on, parts are easy to find, and they are reliable. Downside is they are a bit thirsty.
