What is considered high hours on an engine? I'm in the process of beginning to look for a replacement for my 20dc (currently a 225) and have seen a lot of used motors out there that look good... Is 600 high hours? Thanks guys.

High hours aren't always the ones to be scared of. Many times extremely low hour engines are the ones that give the most trouble. Alot of outboards can go for 2000+ hours without breaking a sweat, it's the ones that don't get used that get carboned up or rot out in most cases.
