V-21 to stay away from

I found this one earlier today and went and looked at it. Unless you want a MAJOR!!!! project, stear clear of this one. I let the pictures tell the tale(and it looks MUCH worse in person). The guy tols me over the phone that it was an insurance salvage that had been stripped, but was in excellent structural condition with glossy GEL-COAT. Boy was I shocked at his idea of excellent structural condition. It looked OK at this point  Then this, yes that is bare glass on the hull bottom  And it gets worse, those are holes filled with marine-tex  The final straw, it was soaked in the transom from where the engine was removed.  Not to mention the water-based white paint that was brushed all over it.

He told me he bought it from an insurance lot just north of where it is now. Said it had been stripped, but would be a good solid project hull. What a waste is an understatement. Judging from the sticker it was last registered in 02, so who knows what had happened to it since then. Needless to say I was a bit disapointed, thought I had me another $500 V.

 Franco...wasn't Port Charlotte ground zero for one of the major canes last year... ??? ... BR...ya need to print those out and show 'em to YOUR purdy lil' 21...tell 'er how lucky she is to live in NC!!... ;D ...
