Leaky foundation

Figure I give this a shot. Never know, maybe one of you guys do basement waterproofing.
Have a block foundation with only a crawl space. Water is coming in somewhere.
Back filled around the house to push the water away, kicked the gutters farther way, so the water drains farther away from the house.
Having water come in somewhere, thus filling up inside the hollow block.
Anybody ever use a rubber basement waterproofing paint ??
Want to stay away from drylock, will eventually wear off.

Spare bathroom. You can see where the block wall is messed up from water.

Leaky crawl space.

Had the same problem 5-6 years ago, i dug to the foundation and couldn't find anything, i dug a little more to the right and left, nothing, i couldn't see anything, so my next choise was to dig all 4 sides of the house, apply tar,tar paper and then tar again and thank god it stopped, so........ good luck.

That sounds like a JOB NEM. Hammer, I'm not much help on that bud sorry.....hope you don't have to do what NEM did. If you do, maybe you can get by with just doing the one side or section you have a problem with.

I didn't do it, i can't dig for $%^&, i dug the first ditch, after that was given to the people standing in the corner in the morning to get a days pay from a contractor, we have many of those in our area, and let me tell you, these guys CAN DIG.

oil base dry lock 2 coats to clean un painted block first fill any cracks and slab to block joint with dry lock water plug. i have never heard of it wearing off .been using it for the last 27 years allways worked

One other option might be to put a french drain around your foundation. Its alot of work to get it done, but they work well if done right. I did one around my garage. I dug a 12in. trench around the foundation about 20in. deep and put medium rock in the bottom. Then layed corragated pipe (with holes in it) down and covered it up with more rock. Just put a gradual drop in the pipe till it drains out to the lowest point. At the end I dug a large hole and filled it with rock, to give the water somewhere to drain. It works well!

I have a block foundation like you, it leaked when i moved in, after walking around the house to the side were it leaked i saw the ground sunk down, i took the gutter on that side and piped it way away and no more problems, even in the heaviest rain.

Been thru some of this myself Mike. You have water stacking up against the foundation, which builds hydrostatic pressure pushing down forcing the water to take the path of least resistance.
You could have a high water table where you are i don't know, you could have city water pipe or well pump pipe leaking, or it could just be poor drainage on your property putting to much water up against your foundation.
You can paint etc. seal the walls or whatever. if you do not fix the cause it will return.
Downspouts could be routed to a drain system and/or you could get a fellow with a small backhoe come in and install a french drain around the perimeter as long as you have a direction to channel water too.
If not you can dig a large pit filled with stone to drain to and aloow the water to build pressure there rather than against you house.

Getting back to what Felton said:

I install them for home owners and what I do is dig around the hose foundation and install a black plastic pipe that has slots cut in it to let the water drain in and slop it to a ditch, it allows the water to ge in from the fdn but wont let it out till you get to the end that dumps into the ditch.
