Hey guys thought i would share this with you all, i am sure we all tryed to try to remove some old decals/pinstriping on our rehabs. I know i have tryed everthing from sprays to blades with mix results then i am in my favorite store (Harbor Fright) to pickup some stuff when i stumbled on to decal remover I got it home an pluged it in and in 50degree weather the decal/pinstrip came off like butter this thing works great and best of all it was only $9.99 at Harbor Fright heres the item #

I have seen items like this and wondered if they really worked. I have had not so good experiences with using a heat gun on low and scraping. Did it scratch the surface you were working on?

hi hooked,, No scratches ,it was getting dark and cooler ,, i pluged it in and slowlly took off about 10' of stripping most of it came off clean a few spots there was a little adhesive left on that i took of with starting fluid but no scratches,,, out of all the gum/glue removers on the market a little starting fluid on a rag works great the weather is turning colder so i hope i can get a few days of warm weather to finish

Sounds great. I need to remove the decals off the boat I just bought and this looks like just the right tool!
