Default New to the V20 community

What's up, all! Just picked up my first V20, its an 82 with a 73 Johnson 115. Found her in Mobile, AL sitting all neglected under an oak tree for the past 2 years...

you can see in the 1st pic where I started to clean her up. Using tub/tile cleaner with bleach, seems to be cleaning up the mildew and dirt really nicely, as seen from the "oh wow, it IS white!". Started on starboard side, worked my way around the top across the gunwale.

2nd pic shows how much can be done in a weekend with nice weather... caught a bit of tan skin, also.

Time to rewire, run new thrtl/shift cables, install all electronics and lights, switches, etc, etc. Lotta work, but she is worth it!

Welcome, that is some big time scrubbing and it is looking real good. I agree looks like all the transom work has already been done. When do you think you might hit the water?

Maiden voyage went without issues other than the 115 was a serious underpower for this hull. Just slapped a 225 on her... I cant wait to see what she will do on open water even with a little junk in her trunk...
