			I remember my boss had a phone in his car in around 1986 or so, he told me that one day everyone would have a phone they could carry right on their belt...my response was "why would anyone want or need that? ". 
		
		
		
		
		
		
			Now I carry a pretty amazing computer on my belt that I use constantly, and sometimes people call me on it.

			That bag phone was my first personal cell, got it right at the end of the bag era.  The company I was working for then got all the crew leaders a Mitsubishi diamond-tel phone about 96, before that we had thos skytel beepers.  My phone bill back then was about $600-$800 a month.
