Default replacing fuel vent on V21

The plastic outside hull fuel vent broke off and I need to replace it.

Who's used what for this application ? Figure I'll upgrade to a nicer fitting.

Thanks

Get rid of the plastic... get a nice ss one from Perko or Seasense. Check out eBay first though.

x2 Upgrade to stainless, But do not get the one like the pic below. I had one on the 250 Sportsman and it would intake water from waves. I cut the hose on it twenty miles out and watched in horror as every wave came alongside the boat the vent hose would spit a little water into the boat. It just sticks out too far.

I bought a nice stainless one from Reel 2 years ago. Still haven't installed it. Looked at it tho. That itty bitty round inspection hatch is gonna make it difficult, but not impossible. My plastic one broke but is still there, kinda.

SS is the way to go!! I have one like the pic above with no issues. But had a friend that use to get water in his under way, he put a clam shell over it facing toward the back and no more worry!

Another thing, I believe the vent hose should have a big loop in it right next to the vent. That way if water does happen to get in, it won't be able to travel up and around the loop to reach the fuel tank.
