friend of mine has a 21 w/ 150 merc, great boat well made, not the best finish or that many bells & whistles, but tough. his is a single layer hull, no liner with a cap. they also had fiberglass fuel tanks in some models. they also made their own brackets called a dusky drive .

from the people I have known they are prized as a great all around boat. Their ride was supposed to be very good, they made a inboard engine (under the console) straight shaft version that my friends tell me was one of the best boats ever put on the water for a fisherman.
Quality of construction was very good, the boats are subject to many of the same problems as our dearly beloved V's but if one of good condition or restored is found you should jump on it.
Hell Franco was going to dump his McKee CC to get a used one he found but could not swing it at the time.

DUSKY makes an excellent bare bones fishing boat. There 203 is almost a direct copy of the V-20, and there 233 is an extended 203 with some extra beam. DUSKY's also hold there value VERY well as they do have a good reputation in the industry. If your pricing a new one they look cheap at first, but you have to remember that DUSKY builds semi-custom boats. They are all ordered and delivered through the builder in south FLORIDA, and they are all built to order. The base price is just that, an almost bare boat. livewells, pumps, rod holders, instruments, drain plugs, and so on and so on are all options that are installed based on the customers order to there specifications. There not speed demons and are heavy tanks, but perfect for fishing the rough.
